Everybody quotes a number and nobody shows their work, so we went and read the price lists. Twenty-nine Tulsa shops and barbers publish what they charge for an adult haircut. The middle of that pack is $39.60, and a flat $40 is far and away the most common ticket in town. Below is the whole spread, by service, with the date we read it.

Every figure here is computed from prices Tulsa businesses publish themselves. Where a shop lists several tiers, we took the plain version of the service so the comparison stays apples to apples.

Half of all adult cuts in the sample fall between $35 and $40, which is a tighter band than most people expect. The spread on a haircut with a beard is wider, $40 to $47 through the middle, because that is where shops differentiate.

How we counted, so you can argue with it

On August 20, 2026 we pulled every Tulsa business that publishes an adult haircut price on its own public booking listing and wrote down the business name, the service exactly as the shop labels it, and the price. That produced 29 businesses for a plain adult cut, and smaller counts for the other services because fewer shops post them.

A few choices worth knowing about. When a shop lists both a basic cut and a deluxe version, we counted the basic one. When a price is written as a starting figure, we used the starting figure. We did not average in shops that keep prices private and tell you to call, because a guess dressed up as data is worse than a gap. And we left the median at $39.60 rather than tidying it to $40, since the whole point of showing the arithmetic is that you can check it.

What this sample leans toward is independent barbers and small shops that book online. Walk-in chains and the higher-end salons are underrepresented, so read the low end as genuinely low rather than as the floor of the entire city. A real but thin slice of the market. Chino.x.blendzz posts a $22.50 haircut and SUITEKUTZ runs a $27 express cut, both on the low end of anything published in Tulsa. Expect a straightforward cut and a short appointment. Almost every shop down here is a solo barber rather than a storefront with a front desk.

The Tulsa middle

Where a lot of the city actually gets cut. McLain Barbershop, David The Barber, Diegocutsss, and CutzXBravo all sit in this band, along with SUITEKUTZ at $34.20 and ItzRippa at $39.60. Nothing about these prices signals a lesser cut, it is mostly a question of overhead and how long the shop has been setting its rate.

Thirteen of the 29 shops we counted charge exactly $40 for an adult cut, which makes it less a price point than a local convention. KutsByPrecision, T. Lew The Barber, Hair Excellence, Chevy the Barber, AR Blends, Kutz By AJ, Ace Of Fades, and Nukey Cutz all land on the same number. If someone quotes you $40 in Tulsa, that is simply the going rate.

Above the standard cut you are usually buying time and add-ons rather than a better pair of hands. A haircut with beard work clusters at $45, and the packages climb from there: KutsByPrecision lists a $60 haircut with a wash, an $85 cut and facial, and a $100 package, while Chevy the Barber posts a $75 hour-long cut. House calls, where a barber comes to you, run higher still.

Why do two Tulsa barbers charge such different prices for the same cut?

Mostly rent, chair time, and how recently the barber raised their rate. A solo barber renting a booth carries far less overhead than a storefront with a front desk, and a 30 minute appointment costs less to deliver than a 60 minute one. Experience matters too, but it is a weaker signal than people assume: plenty of $35 barbers in this city have been cutting for decades.

How much is a kid's haircut in Tulsa?

Between $20 and $35, with $25 being both the median and the most common price across the 21 shops that post one. Some shops price by age rather than calling it a kid's cut, so you will see high school and junior high tiers around $27 to $30 at places like The Finest Cutz.

What does a haircut and beard trim cost together?

Around $45, which is the median and the most common price among the 20 shops listing the combination. The middle of the range runs $40 to $47. A beard trim booked on its own is usually $15 to $25.

Are these prices before or after tip?

Before. Every number on this page is the service price the shop publishes, and tipping is between you and your barber. We did not collect data on what people actually tip in Tulsa, so we are not going to invent a percentage for you.

Does a higher price mean a better haircut in Tulsa?
